I became aware of Picasso’s work at a young age. My first impression was what strange drawings they were, almost child-like in the way body parts and eyes would be in strange configurations, no regard for the way things appeared in life. I thought “I can draw like that”. Well it’s definitely not as easy as it looks. He co-founded the cubist movement and was a prolific artist from the time he was very young. I liked how he was always exploring different forms of art throughout his entire life. I also liked how he was recognized and was very successful while still alive. Not always the case for gifted artists.
